If you don’t ask…

…you won’t get!

I love it when my clients get the contract/job/promotion or other outcome they are looking for! It’s been wonderful this week to open up my email or look at my text messages and hear from people excited to share their progress!

They’ve been asking for what they want – and getting it! Sometimes this is a little scary but guess what – if you don’t ask, you don’t get – or if you don’t ask, the answer is always no…

What is it that you want?

Firstly – are you really clear on the outcome that you would want? Can you articulate that clearly and matter-of-factly (is that a real phrase?)

If what you really want feels too cheeky, too good to be true, or like asking for ‘the moon on a stick’ (to you) – what’s the worst that can happen? Are you perhaps second guessing that the answer will be no, without actually finding out?

How can you prepare for success?

For a successful outcome, what do you need to do – today – to give yourself the best chance of success? What do you need to be ready to answer? Can you practice saying it out loud?

Who do you need to influence? What do they need from you in order to be able to say yes? What is their preferred communication style? How can you make it easy for them?

If you don't ask...

How can you help yourself to feel the part? What influences how you feel about yourself – clothes, posture, location, time of day…?

What do you want to ask for? If you don’t ask…

What outcome do you really want?
