Reaching your ideal customer

How can you reach your ideal customer?

Assuming you know who your ideal customer is…(?)

…how can you reach them??

Where do your ideal customers hang out – online and offline?
What events do they attend?
What social media groups are they active in?

As lovely and cosy as it is to hang out in closed Facebook groups with other coaches…

…if I want to get my message across to my ideal customers, I need to get to where they are – in person or on social media.

Who has your customers already?

Ideal customer brainstorm

Take time to brainstorm

How can you tap into them / that organisation?

Try this exercise:

Brainstorm or mind map all the different ways that you can make use of the fact that someone else is already talking to your customers…

Using Lean thinking, what no/low cost options could you try?
What are the most creative ways you can think of?
What are the craziest ways?
What would Wile E Coyote do?

What are your ideal customers reading?

How can you get your articles/posts in front of your ideal audience?

If your ideal customer is a member of an organisation, how does that organisation communicate with its members? – how could you make use of that?

Who could be referring you?

Who can you collaborate with?

Who could help you?

What could you do that you’re not doing already?

If something feels uncomfortable, is that just because it’s new..?

If you don’t give it a few good tries, how will you know whether or not it’ll become easier or even something you love..?

What opportunities can you grab that might take you out of your comfort zone?
